Description of Problem

This patch is to get around an issue where both 'Ford Racing 2' and 'Ford Racing 3' have the same InstallShield GUID. The result of this issue means that if the user attempts to install one of the games when the other one is already installed, then InstallShield will try and uninstall the first game instead of installing the game the end user is trying to install.

Using this Patch

Use the executable attached as part of this patch to install 'Ford Racing 3' if 'Ford Racing 2' is already installed, or 'Ford Racing 2' if 'Ford Racing 3' is already installed.

When you insert the game disc in the drive, a popup box will appear asking you if you want to install the game. It is important that you click on 'No' at this stage. Instead, run the fr_isfix.exe found as part of this patch. Providing that you have a game disc in the drive and the other game is actually installed on your system, you will now be prompted to confirm that you want to install. Click on 'Yes'. The installation will then continue as if you had installed directly from your cdrom drive. It is important that you don't quit halfway though, as the patch will not know that you haven't finished installation. Please refer to your manual for further instructions on installing the game from this point.
